Lambert Jacobsz (also known as Lambert Jacobsz. or Lambert Jacobszoon*, 1598 – 27 June 1636) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and Mennonite preacher, known primarily for his figure paintings.

Born in Amsterdam, Jacobsz played a prominent role in both the artistic and religious communities of his time. He was the father of painter Abraham Lambertsz van den Tempel and was deeply involved in the Mennonite church.

According to the Netherlands Institute for Art History (RKD), Jacobsz trained several notable artists, including Govert Flinck, Jacob Adriaensz Backer, Heere Innes, and his own son. He died in Leeuwarden in 1636 during a plague outbreak.

Many of Jacobsz’s works remain in their original locations in Leeuwarden, where they were first commissioned. Other examples of his work can be found in the National Gallery of Victoria and a notable series of four saints’ portraits held at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen.
